Repairs & component replacements

Commercial ice-machine repairs, across makes and models.

From failed evaporators and water pumps to compressors and costly electronic control faults, SCS repairs its own ice machines and equipment from other manufacturers.

01 · Evaporator replacement

Restore the surface where the ice is made.

The evaporator is the metal cube-grid plate on which the ice forms. Over time, the refrigerant tubing at the back can separate from the plate. Heat transfer is lost and the machine can no longer produce ice correctly.

SCS removes the failed evaporator, installs a new grid, reconnects the refrigeration circuit and recommissions the machine.

Typical symptomThe machine runs, but ice production becomes poor or stops.
Other frequent repairs

Replace the failed component—not the whole machine.

Once the fault has been properly diagnosed, SCS can replace or re-engineer the component that is preventing the machine from operating.

Control electronics

Imported replacement PC boards can be extremely expensive or difficult to source. Where suitable, SCS replaces the proprietary board with its own modular relay-and-timer control system—easier to diagnose and service, and often available at a fraction of the cost.

03

Water pumps

The pump circulates water over the evaporator grid. If it fails, water flow stops and the machine cannot form ice correctly. SCS replaces the failed pump and checks the complete water circuit before returning the machine to service.

04

Compressors

A failed compressor does not always mean the machine has reached the end of its life. SCS confirms the fault, replaces the compressor where viable, and recommissions the refrigeration system for dependable operation.
